BioDerm Medical Center  started it's activity within BioMedica International  group in 1992. The foundation members, a group of Romanian and American MDs , introduced the Co2 Luxar C20 laser for the first time in Romania.

This was succeeded  by Erbium, Vascular, YAG and Soft lasers. There was also introduced the digital dermatoscopy  through epiluminescence, using MoleMaxII for early  diagnosis of malignant melanoma. Management and nursing were ensured by an American medical team,  built in 15 years of medical experience in US hospitals.
